The Illinois School Report Card has designated JEFFERSON Elementary as: EXEMPLARY!!! We are the only school in our district with this Honor. We will celebrate this accomplishment next month. We are very proud of our students, staff and families on the hard work they put in each and every day. We received all points in proficiency on the IAR last Spring and increased our Math growth. A big thank you to everyone who came to support our Fall Festival last night! Thank you to all our JCO members and families for their organization of the event, decorations, and cleaning up. Thankful we had MCHS Homecoming Queen Allie Unzueta, Miss Metropolis Emma Hollis and Miss Shawnee Sweetheart Kylie Bucher as judges. Thank you JCO President Rachel Douglas for all your hard work!

Thank you to everyone who attended our Open House last night! We look forward to seeing everyone on Monday. Doors open at 7:45. Tardy 8:20. We dismiss early this Monday the 11th at 1:45 for car riders and 1:55 for bus riders. Tuesday-Friday will be normal dismissal of 2:45 car riders and 2:55 bus riders. Please be patient next week with drop off and pick up whether at the school or from a bus route as we adjust to a new school year! Thank you!
Online re-registration is available through Alma for students returning in Grades 1 through 6 for the 2025-26 school year. For more information, please visit: https://www.massac.org/page/student-registration. In person registration is Monday, August 4th from 12-5. Open House is Thursday, August 7th from 5:00-6:00. On Thursday, August 7th you may drop off school supplies and meet your teacher!
